Attendance and punctuality
-
Regular attendance is essential for your child's learning and development. Please take the time to carefully read our Attendance and absence Policy, which is attached for your reference.
-
Action may be taken in cases of irregular attendance, in line with our policy.
-
We understand that occasional lateness may occur due to unforeseen circumstances, but regular late arrivals may lead to follow-up discussions, as they disrupt the class routine and impact your child's learning.
Please inform the school of your child's absence either by telephone 020 8208 1631 / 07926 083272 or by email
neasdenmontessori@gmail.com as soon as possible if your child cannot attend school for any reason.
If your child will be away from school for more than 3 days then you are required to complete our online absence request form.
Child’s Progress
Mid-morning Break & Lunch
Children develop at their own pace. Development in different areas is carefully monitored by the dedicated, qualified and highly experienced teachers so that each child is encouraged onto the next stage at the appropriate time. We hold formal meetings with parents to discuss their child's progress. The parents can view their children's observations through online learning journey.
All children should only bring fruits to school for snack time and children who stay for lunch should bring a packed lunch. Milk and drinking water are available throughout the day. Please note that the school has a microwave and a fridge.
Notice of Withdrawal
A full term's notice in writing or fees in lieu will be required in the event of a child being withdrawn from the school.
Items Required
Children should bring a spare set of clothes, nappies/pull ups and wipes (if required) to school. Each item should be named clearly and should be kept in a backpack or a cloth bag (without any drawstring and plastic bags for safety) in school.
Safeguarding
Birthdays
Parents are invited to send a cake on their child's birthday so that all the children can celebrate it together. Children can wear any dress on their birthday. It can be a non uniform day for them.
Policies and Procedures
We want to assure parents that our nursery prioritizes your child's safety and development. Our comprehensive policies and procedures cover every aspect of their time with us, from arrival to departure. This includes health and safety protocols to ensure a clean and secure environment, communication methods that keep you informed about your child's progress, daily routines that offer structure and learning opportunities, and safeguarding measures to protect your child's well-being. We maintain a transparent and open-door policy, encouraging parents to engage with us and ask any questions. Your child's well-being is our top concern, and we're dedicated to providing a nurturing and secure environment for their growth.
Our policies and procedures are available on request.
Compliments and Complaints
At Neasden Montessori School, we aim to provide a safe, secure and happy environment for children to prosper and develop. It is also our intention to give a high standard of care and nursery education. We accept that despite our best endeavours, there may be occasions when you feel we have been less than perfect, and we will always adopt a sympathetic but fair approach in dealing with your concerns.
Conversely, you may experience moments when you feel a particular member of the team, or indeed, the staff team itself, has performed really well and therefore deserves a little praise.
We would prefer to deal with any complaints on a personal level and hopefully resolve any concerns to the mutual satisfaction of all parties involved at an early stage. Please click here to read our complaints procedure for your information.
Our nursery is deeply committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of every child. Our safeguarding policy encompasses rigorous staff training to identify signs of abuse or harm, clear procedures for reporting and investigating concerns, and a designated safeguarding lead for any issues that may arise. We encourage open communication and urge parents to promptly report any worries they may have. Rest assured, all information will be handled confidentially and shared only as necessary. Together, we create a secure and nurturing environment for your child to thrive.
